Saturday was the house-warming party, the first party at home in years! It feels so good to get back to this feeling, entertaining friends at home, cooking for them, chatting with them, putting them in contact, seeing them exchange and laugh!

I had decided to prepare a vegetarian buffet, a discovery for most of them. So I've started to cook on Friday night and started again early on Saturday. I was quite satisfied with the result, and according to their comments, I think my friends were satisfied too.

On the menu: tsasiki, gaspacho, onion-porrel pie, spinash pie, beetroot creamy soup (the pink one on the picture, big success!), chick peas salad, lebanese taboule, rice salad,  lentils-green beans salad, etc.

I feel so happy and so lucky to have my home again! 

He, who wants to embrace the spiritual life, leaves prematurely his former life, finds himself lost and without shelter. He thinks then that he made the wrong choice. But not at all, he only lacked some intelligence and forsight.

Observe how nature works: does it take off an old skin before a new one is ready? No. In the same way, you should keep the old forms while you build up the new ones. Work on creating the conditions for the spirit to come to you and while you do this, stay temporarily with the old forms, getting ready to leave them. That is wisdom!

I have found this quote a few days ago, in a moment when I was quite confused about the weeks and months to come. Not only for the spiritual life, I think this can be applied to more general life circumstances. 

Installation in my new flat is quite finished, and this week was the "kitchen opening"! On tuesday I cooked lunch for a good friend, and on wednesday night I've had my first guests for a dinner at home! I feel so happy to cook for friends again.

I like the kitchen, I have made it colourful: chairs, plates, glasses, etc, everything is bright and cheerful.
